Luís Magalhães & Nina Schumann launch CD in South Africa

After the well succeeded launching in Portugal of the record “Complete Works for Two Pianos – by Sergei Rachmaninoff”, last year, the duo TwoPianists launches the same disc in South Africa.
Luis Magalhães (Portuguese) and Nina Schumann (South African) – the duo TwoPianists – live in South Africa, where they are piano lecturers at Stellenbosch University. Born in Famalicao, soloist Luis Magalhães lives for about seven years in that African country. Along with soloist Nina Schumann, also his wife, they launched the project TwoPianists, that has since performed to great acclaim in many great auditoriums.
This double CD, by Universal, with Emarcy Classics label, contains the compilation of all works of the Russian composer Sergei Rachmaninoff for two pianos. The recording took place at the Endler Hall of Stellenbosch University (South Africa), in January 2006, the sound engineer was the German Wolf-Dieter Karwatky (winner of five Grammy awards) and the CD was produced by Portuguese company Miltemas
