Stellenbosch - V. N. de Famalicão (2nd Edition)

1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 April 2009
Casa das Artes (Vila Nova de Famalicão)

The Stellenbosch International Chamber Music Festival is the first and only festival of its kind in South Africa. It incorporates chamber music and orchestral playing/tuition within one festival. It actively promotes and develops a love of classical music, especially the increasingly widely appreciated genre of chamber music.

In Vila Nova de Famalicão, with its focus on music for strings, horn and piano, serves as a showcase for young talent. The aim of the Festival is to create an environment of interaction between music students through participation in Master Classes as soloists or chamber ensembles. Production by Miltemas.

CD "TwoPianists" at International Record Review magazine

"This set, sensitively recorded and thoughtfully put together, deserves great success"

"A new recording of Rachmaninov’s complete works for two pianos is always an eye-opener and this CD from Nina Schumann and Luis Magalhães, which also includes an interesting DVD, does not disappoint."

Miltemas represents Russian pianist Konstantin Scherbakov

Russian pianist Konstantin Scherbakov, acclaimed by international public and crtitics, is, from now on, represented in Portugal by Miltemas.

With the recent release of Rachmaninov's Second and Third Piano Concertos, followed by Tchaikovsky concertos, Konstantin Scherbakov's endless repertoire accomplishments continue to amaze.
